_At the National Autistic Society_ We provide residential and supported living services and centres for adults across the autism spectrum. We offer specialist person-centred support in rural and urban settings across the UK.


Our residential services provide accommodation and support for autistic adults 52 weeks a year, 24 hours a day in urban and rural settings.

We also provide supported living services for autistic adults who need extra help to live in their own homes or within our accommodation, whether as tenants or owner occupiers, living alone, or with others.


Who we are looking for:

  • We are currently looking for support workers to work in Six acres based in Brent Knoll_
  • We have a variety of roles available including full and part time hours._
  • A driving licence isn't essential, but is preferred_
  • Your working pattern will be varied over a sevenday rota, and would include alternate weekends and bank holidays._
  • Ideally, you will have a background in supporting autistic people, if not, we have a fantastic training programme that will get you on your way to achieving a fulfilling job that will beat most out there._
  • The role includes:_
- _Helping individuals achieve independence and personal goals_
- _Supporting and transporting individuals to integrate into the community_
- _Develop individuals' life skills, vocational, educational and creative skills_
- _Help provide exercise, leisure and recreational opportunities_
- _Transforming lives and achieving results for Autistic Adults_

  • We need you to be: Resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people. Being a support worker takes passion, patience and commitment. But working with autistic people gives so much more in return._
  • To protect our autistic adults, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential._
  • You may have a personal connection, a desire to work with or real life experiences working with autistic people. You might not have lots of experience yet, but if you share our values and are willing to make a difference to the lives of autistic people, we'd love to hear from you._
