Job Description Summary:
Become part of a winning team and help to deliver the Green Energy transition.

GE Vernova's Power Transmission Service business is responsible for after-sales support of our installed base of power transmission equipment, from erection and commissioning, through spare parts, maintenance, and repair, to major overhaul and infrastructure extension projects.

We are now looking for an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join our team and take responsibility for managing our construction site CDM Temporary Works obligations.

Experience of the power transmission industry would be an advantage, but enthusiasm, drive, and a proven track record in civil works and CDM / Temporary Works are paramount.

If you have the right personality, we can teach you the rest

Roles and Responsibilities

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Tendering, Project Management, and Field Service teams in respect of Temporary Works
  • At Tender stage you will support the tender team in determining the scope of works, inputting to the strategy for delivering the project, raising pertinent questions to the client with respect to Temporary Works, preparing initial schedule of Temporary Works, preparing man hour estimates for TWC & TWS roles and costings for Temporary Works activities, and input to HAZID and risk reviews.
  • At project stage you will carry out the role of the Temporary Works Coordinator in line with the requirements of the CDM regulations and BS 5975, work closely with the Project team to develop the project programme, prepare and manage the temporary works register, and manage the Temporary Works process in line with the GE procedure.
  • Conducting regular site visits and site audits to ensure compliance with GE processes and statutory obligations.

Required Qualifications

  • A degree or HND in Civil Engineering or similar Construction qualification
  • Temporary works qualification
  • Demonstrated experience as Temporary Works Coordinator
  • Experience in either design management or construction activities
  • High Voltage Substation Experience would be beneficial but not essential.

  • This role includes responsibilities across the North Europe region (UK and Ireland, Nordic and Benelux countries), and although predominantly UK it will include a significant amount of travel. We are therefore looking for an individual who is able to work unsupervised, and to manage and prioritise their own workload.
  • You will be a team player, with good communication and interpersonal skills, resilience and a selflearning attitude.

Benefits
In return GE offers a package including competitive salary, and a flexible benefits package including private health insurance.
