Job Summary:
The COO function of Canada Life UK plays a crucial role in providing Customer Services, IT, Business Change, and Procurement services across the Canada Life divisions. Within the COO Office, the first-line risk team oversees the management of the division's 1st line risk and control, ensuring consistent and efficient execution of the risk framework across the relevant divisions of Canada Life UK. The Conduct Risk Specialist is responsible for leading the identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of Conduct risks across the Canada Life businesses. Collaborating across functions, you will align measures of Conduct risks with our risk frameworks to present an accurate picture of the Conduct Risks faced by Canada Life. Additionally, you will consolidate Conduct risk measures into our broader risk appetite framework for timely reporting to business lines, executive committees, boards, and LifeCo partners. You will also spearhead the integration of Consumer Duty management information requirements into our Conduct Risk reporting framework, ensuring accurate representation of customer sentiment on their interactions with Canada Life. Furthermore, you will oversee the production of annual Conduct Risk reports for relevant boards, as mandated by the incoming Consumer Duty regime, and manage any reported Conduct Risks and customer outcome deficiencies within the Conduct framework.
Experience Required:
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills to cultivate relationships with various stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, adept at conveying information clearly and effectively in written and verbal form across all management levels
- Proficiency in conduct risk management and relevant regulations, including the technical aspects of risk quantification and analysis
- Experience in implementing and upholding enterprise risk management frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to meet reporting deadlines under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Efficient time management and organizational abilities
Qualifications:
- Specialized qualification in risk/compliance; holds or is pursuing a financial services or regulatory certification
- Ideally possesses a degree or equivalent industry experience
