Hyndburn Leisureis the leading sport, health & leisure charity in Hyndburn with a strategic aim to improve the health & wellbeing of local people.

As a not-for-profit charity, all profits made by the Trust are reinvested into the local community. Hyndburn Leisure operate eight facilities, delivering a wide variety of services.

The Trust are also accomplished collaborators on wellness, they lead the Together and Active Future Alliance for Hyndburn, bringing together a range of partners from across the borough and have re-focussed their business to become sustainable and to take account of the wider social determinants of ill health and offer asset based routes to wellbeing.

  • To encourage and empower individuals to modify their lifestyle and undertake regular physical activity and dietary changes leading to longterm health improvements.
  • The preparation for and delivery of safe and effective instruction programmes, in a number of locations.
  • To deliver lifestyle interventions such as physical activity / sport / exercise sessions, supporting community groups, health promotion training, community events, healthy eating training
  • Carrying out assessments, consultations and evaluation of both individuals and projects e.g. risk assessment, clinical assessment, session monitoring.

Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 9-12 months

Part-time hours: 14 per week

£9,791.68 per year
