You will be working as part of a friendly, warm, and personable team of 10 in a full functional and busy medical/ Doctors Centre Knotty Ash in Liverpool.

You will be responsible to providing the highest of healthcare assistance to patients within a doctor's surgery whilst working as part of a team delivering daily care

Shifts will be 8/1 or 1/6.30pm or 8am/6.30pm (half an hour unpaid break)

Your daily interaction at the medical centre will be with patients, health care visitors, suppliers, doctors, colleagues, and nurses. The role is very interesting and varied
- no 2 days will be the same


Your time at the medical centre would initially be for 2 months - there are potential opportunities to extend this or look to other roles within the practice.

Essentially your day-to-day responsibilities would consist of the following:

  • Basic reception duties
  • Filing post in medical records
  • Booking Clinicians Clinics e.g., booking flu vaccinations, COVID vaccination clinics, child immunisations etc
  • Liaising with patient's face to face and over the phone
  • Handing repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
  • Be able to cover all reception position as necessary
  • Process patients changes of address computer data and medical records
  • Answering calls, booking appointments, and dealing with patient queries
  • Receiving, assisting, and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or a healthcare professional in an efficient and effective way.
  • Undertake a variety of administrative duties and assist with the smooth running of the medical centre
  • Working under the direction of the senior practice manager to ensure all duties are carried out accordingly daily.
As the role is dealing with high level of patient confidentiality and care we do require you to be EMIS trained to support the systems the medical centres operate within

  • Personable and friendly, genuinely enjoy speaking with people
  • Highly organised
  • Emmis trained or have a good understanding
We are offering £ H - this will be paid to you weekly on a Friday.

This is an immediate start - a great role and one that supports the NHS and patient care daily whilst enhancing the care provisions within the community.
