Are you a dedicated and organized individual with strong organizational and communication skills and experience in handling administrative tasks and minute taking? If so, and you're searching for a job with flexible, part-time hours, then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.

This is a fulfilling and stimulating position that will allow you to assist governors and trustees in various schools to achieve the best results for their students.

  • Administer and minute board and committee meetings, mostly taking place in the evening.
  • Offer advice on governance legislation and policy post receiving appropriate training.
  • Essential to maintain impartiality, adhere to data protection laws, and uphold confidentiality.
  • Requires internet access and a home computer with Microsoft Word (or compatible software).
  • Mainly home-based role with flexibility to complete clerical tasks alongside existing commitments.
  • Travel to assigned schools for governance meetings is necessary, with an effort to link you with nearby schools.

We provide a comprehensive training scheme, guidance during your initial months, and continuous support from the Clerking Team.

The initial contract will cover around 136 hours per year, but once you settle into the position, there will be chances to significantly increase your workload, transforming this into a substantial part-time role.
