The Role:
The Assistant Property Manager role is multifaceted and serves as a great platform for individuals to enhance their property expertise. Responsibilities include supporting the Property Director and Head of Projects in the day-to-day management and growth of the company's Property Portfolio across operational and non-operational sites throughout the UK. Key duties involve:

  • Managing the Leasehold Estate, handling Business Rates, Service Charges, Rent Reviews, and addressing building issues with Landlords
  • Offering assistance to Ops Directors and General Managers on property-related issues
  • Aiding in site relocations by conducting area research and collaborating with property agents for suitable opportunities
  • Supervising the sub-let Estate
  • Coordinating with retained property agents to lease vacant properties nationwide
  • Contributing to Asset Management and further development of a large mixed-use leisure scheme
  • Supporting the Projects/ Development Team on refurbishment initiatives
  • Assisting the Maintenance Manager in addressing Landlord or Tenant concerns
  • Supporting in Planning affairs with the help of external consultants

The Person:
The ideal Assistant Property Manager should possess some commercial property experience, preferably in retail, leisure, or hospitality industries. While RICS qualification is preferred, APC support is available for those working towards it. Desirable attributes include:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Capability to build relationships with external property agents
  • Ability to function effectively within a small team
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to foster strong internal and external relationships
  • Problem-solving abilities and promptly communicating decisions for overall business benefit
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe; familiarity with AutoCad is advantageous but not mandatory
