Male Engagement Worker

MALE ENGAGEMENT WORKER REQUIRED IN EAST CORNWALL - Sessional work OR 10-hour contract available.

White Gold Cornwall works with children, young people and adults across the whole of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly providing 1:1 mentoring to help them navigate life's challenges.

We aim to support, guide and, if appropriate, challenge young people who;
Are vulnerable or at risk.
Present unacceptable or challenging behaviour.
Are excluded from, or failing to engage in, education
Lack confidence, self-esteem and/or social skills

Are involved, or at risk of becoming involved, with the Law.


We are looking for a paid
MALE Engagement Worker in East Cornwall (especially Looe, Liskeard, Bodmin, St Austell, Saltash, Callington and Launceston) for a few hours or more a week to engage informally with children and young people e.g.

a country walk, coffee and chat, sharing hobbies, visiting local museums, swimming, sports, etc.

You would be fully trained and insured by us to work safely with young people.


As well as your own transport, the most important qualities needed are patience, a sense of humour, and a commitment to supporting vulnerable children and young people in a non-judgemental mentoring role.
