Male Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Male Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Thornbury Community Services. Our client, a female with learning disabilities, requires 24/7 support in her own property, and we are looking to add to her support team.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Male Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker to utilize their skills and expertise to enable our client to live a safe and fulfilled life. As a member of our team, you will work closely with our client to support her in achieving her personal goals, learning new hobbies, and taking trips into the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to our client with learning disabilities, promoting her independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with our client's existing support team to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our client's needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of personalized care plans that meet our client's unique needs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with learning disabilities.

Requirements
  • Minimum 12 months of UK-based experience working with individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with our client and her support team.

  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development, with a passion for delivering high-quality care and support.
