What You'll Be Doing

As a qualified Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD), you will be responsible for ensuring individuals with Mental Health conditions receive top-notch care while also championing teamwork and supporting your peers. The working environment is dynamic, offering a balance of routine and diversity to keep you engaged and motivated.



Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass:

  • Providing high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to service users
  • Assuming accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care
  • Offering mentorship and assistance to fellow team members
  • Observing, documenting, and communicating all changes in service users, while maintaining precise care records

Location: Castleholme Lodge, 4 Bryan Road, Edgerton, Huddersfield, HD2 2AH

Castleholme Lodge, nestled in Huddersfield with excellent transport connections to neighboring areas, is currently undergoing a comprehensive revamp to create an optimal setting for service users and staff to thrive.


Set to be a 20-bed Care Home offering nursing services, Castleholme Lodge will cater to a range of mental health needs for adults dealing with severe and enduring mental health challenges. It will be integrated within a network of Elysium services across the Yorkshire and Midlands region, fostering mutual support and collaboration.
