Person specification:

Knowledge and Qualifications:

Essential criteria:

  • Full GMC registration
  • APLS provider or equivalent
  • MRCEM or MRCPCH or equivalent

Experience:

Essential criteria:

  • Minimum of 6 months Paediatric Emergency Medicine experience which may include experience in acute paediatrics

Desirable criteria:

  • Middle grade experience

Skills and Abilities:

Essential criteria:

  • Ability to manage common acute paediatric disorders
  • Able to competently perform all major clinical procedural skills independently as expected for middle grade level
  • Evidence of leadership ability
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching ability
  • Able to communicate well in verbal and written English fluent or IELTS>
  • Good organisational skills

Desirable criteria:

  • Computing skills
