Join our PE Energy team within the Flow Equipment division in Leeds as a Factored Project Buyer to serve our global customer base for our varied portfolio of projects.

Delivering an outstanding service through the management to completion of all aspects of the assigned Purchase orders including identification of new suppliers and supplier development, so we can continue to drive the business to the next level.


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Placement of PO's to meet the MRP and project requirements including performing in depth supplier kick off meetings
  • Obtaining project GANTT charts from suppliers and performing weekly reviews of progress and ensuring all key gated milestones are met
  • Expedition of 1st issue critical documentation from supply base to ensure SPUK package GA's can be progressed to schedule need
  • Expediting suppliers to ensure the delivery requirements are met, including where applicable visits to supplier's premises (globally)
  • Responsible, in coordination with supplier quality, for all supplier quality requirements
  • Recovering back charges from the supplier for either quality costs or late deliveries
  • Conducting root cause analysis through SPUK CAPA system on any project overspends or nonconformance issues
  • Internal reporting for the assigned commodities
  • Identification of suppliers including supplier development

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • HND/Degree in engineering or business discipline and/or a Procurement qualification would be advantageous
  • Relevant experience within related industry ideally Oil and Gas
  • Experience in managing complex commodities
  • Experience in contract negotiation in a commercial environment
  • Supplier management experience
  • Selfstarter selfmotivated
  • Results and target orientated proven record
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) both supplier facing and internal
  • Solid time management and organisational skills
  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong project financial skills
