Description
As the Customs Coordinator, you will be based in Slough and tasked with:

  • Coordinating Import and Export shipments by conforming to HM Revenue & Customs regulations
  • Liaise with Customs legal counsel to check Export controls and licensing requirements
  • Ensure all HM Revenue & Customs duty liabilities are fulfilled, minimising cost
  • Liaise with, customers, suppliers, necessary agents and customs authorities to address any issues/questions arising from business activities.
  • Check invoices for both import and export brokerage and liaise with the broker / finance to resolve any invoice / payment issues.
  • High volumes of data entry on spreadsheets
  • Making customs entry amendment requests to HMRC

Profile
In order to be considered for the role of Customs Coordinator, you should have:

  • Working knowledge of Exports/Imports & Customs Compliance and regulations
  • Knowledge of customs requirements and formalities with particular focus on UK & EU imports
  • Have previously participated in road transport, logistics or haulage import or export compliance
  • An understanding of HMRC amendment and reclaim procedure
  • Live in an area that is easily commutable to Slough

Salary of between £25 000 to £26 000
