The Opportunity:

We are thrilled to offer you an exciting new position within our Retail Protection business. As the Head of Claims, you will lead the Claims Policy Team, playing a vital role in advancing our claims proposition through strategic planning, policy creation, risk assessment, stakeholder management, and data analytics. Your contributions will ensure efficient claims handling, risk mitigation, client satisfaction, and safeguarding the company's interests and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and mentor your team
  • Develop claims philosophy aligned with reinsurance agreements
  • Enhance claims handling capability and processes
  • Drive continuous improvement for efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Analyze claims results and trends, collaborating with Underwriting teams
  • Manage claims management activity governance
  • Innovate and implement practical solutions to enhance customer and adviser experience
  • Monitor operational controls for reinsurance claims processing
  • Recommend and implement authority frameworks for effective claims processing
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and enhance products
  • Utilize customer feedback to improve claims proposition
  • Strengthen relationships with reassurers to enhance claims proposition
  • Develop and maintain effective claims management information
  • Collaborate with teams to achieve business goals and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Expertise in claims authority for Protection products
  • Awareness of the UK Protection market and customer needs
  • Experience in claims management and policy setting
  • Previous team management experience preferred
  • Analytical, decision-making, and commercial acumen
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Innovative thinking and market knowledge
  • Expertise in claims data analysis for profitability and customer journey enhancement
