A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Surgical Division at Nottingham University Hospitals.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our team, in supporting our Divisional Leadership Team by delivering a high quality administrative support service.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious team player, who can work well under pressure and has the ability to prioritise their own workload.


Working as part of a team, the post-holder will support the provision of a high-quality administrative service to the Surgery Divisional Leadership Team.

The post holder must exercise initiative to organise their own workload within defined deadlines facilitating an efficient and effective service ensuring the administrative requirements of the Surgical Leadership team are well met.


Some of the key elements are:

  • To organise meetings both on MS Teams and Outlook for physical and virtual meetings which may involve co-ordinating the diaries of a number of senior staff from both inside and outside of the Trust.
Use and maintain administrative systems/databases/reports/ action logs.


To maintain information systems to support the Divisional Leadership Team, such as circulation lists, regular meeting dates and venues, organisation charts, room bookings and processing of claims.


You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability use your own initiative to respond to queries in a timely and professional manner.


You will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality and maintain the standards of our TEAM NUH values.

Dealing with incoming mail, results/reports management.

Use judgement and initiative to prioritise the importance/urgency of particular requests within defined guidelines.

Answer telephone queries and escalate appropriately

Ability to exchange sensitive or contentious information with diplomacy and in a confidential manner.

Adopt a flexible attitude to meet the needs of the DLT.
