Overview of the role
The Services Support Advisor role sits within the Services Support Group which is part of the Central Operations function.

This is a key role to ensure colleagues working in our clinics receive the necessary operational support to deliver exceptional service and care to our patients.


We are looking for someone who can advise colleagues on the best practice processes and help them to correct errors when they occur.

You will take ownership for the cases you work on and deliver high resolution rates whilst maintaining an exceptional standard of customer care.


The Services Support Advisor will use the department knowledge base to direct colleagues to the right experts and processes to help them resolve any issues with supplies or equipment.

The role also supports our IT teams to develop our systems by testing new processes, training front end users and setting up new accounts.

This role can make a real contribution to the on-going performance of the services within Newmedica.

So what will I be doing?**- Treat the services as customers. Ensure they always receive excellent service

  • Proactive monitoring of your personal resolution and response KPIs to ensure you operating within expected standards
  • Engage in project work as needed and become an SME on the core PAS/EMR system
  • Build our systems knowledge level by contributing articles to our knowledge base
  • Train new staff in the use of core systems
  • Provide systems training for the services and support office staff where needed.
  • Undertake administrative tasks to support the services complete urgent / overdue tasks
  • Provide cover as needed to process eRS and direct referrals
  • Escalate concerns/issues when appropriate
  • Work cross functionally to support the data in electronic patient records
  • Working alongside colleagues as the principal point of contact for all systembased administration task queries
  • Provide effective and quality patient data management for bulk imports
  • Be committed to your continued professional development, to continuous improvement and the development of new skills

What experience do I need?

  • Experience working with Patient Administration Systems
  • An NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an administration related discipline
  • PAS / EMR Systems Training or equivalent and practical experience
  • Proven customer service skills with a passion for customer care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills including the ability to relate effectively with a diverse range of staff and clients
  • Excellent administration and data management skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
