Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom Manufacture 2030 Full time

Climate Action Program Coordinator

Manufacture 2030 (M2030) is a fast-growth, purpose-led company working to accelerate progress towards the necessary carbon reduction targets needed to tackle the biggest challenge of our time.

Our unique software platform and dedicated support services help global companies understand and reduce the Scope 3 emissions and other environmental impacts in their supply chains at scale.

We're now on the hunt for a proactive, hardworking, and motivated Climate Action Program Coordinator to join our Climate Action Program team.

Role overview:

The Climate Action Program is a big part of what differentiates M2030 from our peers.

It provides resources and support for businesses big and small to help them identify and implement opportunities to reduce their impacts/emissions.

Providing the program to serve a growing customer base in the thousands, spread across 70 countries, and covering multiple industries and individual job roles requires a can-do attitude, great prioritization skills, and a good understanding of environmental sustainability topics.

The Climate Action Program is designed and deployed through highly scalable activities.

For example, recorded training videos, a calendar of live online events, the creation of a network of partner organizations offering beneficial rates to M2030 customers, best practice templates, and much more.

As a Climate Action Program Coordinator, you'll join the team that delivers this program.

You will take on a range of responsibilities and tasks, including organising events and training sessions, identifying and managing expert partner relationships, engaging with customers, working collaboratively with teams across the business, and measuring impact to improve the program.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with expert partner organizations to deliver great quality training events and recorded sessions, across a range of topics. For example, hosting an external partner to cover the basics of carbon reporting and management one week, then convening a round table on emerging battery technology in the automotive sector the next.
  • Manage partner relationships, ensuring M2030's team, customers, and partners benefit from the relationship.
  • Produce effective and engaging communications to promote Climate Action Program events and activities.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to aid team prioritization into events and activities that create most impact for customers, and measure program outcomes.
  • Collaborate internally with the M2030 team, to both help promote the Climate Action Program and to gather feedback to continually improve what it covers.
  • Package up Climate Action Program activities for the Climate Action Program online resource centre.

Required skills, experience, and attitude:

  • Domain knowledge of Environmental Sustainability; Sustainable Supply Chains; Carbon Management; or Climate Change (business context). Either through university level education or extensive practical experience.
  • At least a couple of years of work in any of the following areas: Online events & training; project management; communications; stakeholder engagement.
  • Great communication skills (written & verbal) and an eye for detail. You'll be working with various communication tools, with customers in over 70 countries.
  • Good organizational skills. You will need to stay organized to balance multiple ongoing projects with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and hardworking.
  • Creative thinking with a problemsolving, cando attitude. While we can take learnings from other industries, a lot of what we're doing is new.

Beneficial extra skills and experience:

  • Ability to speak/read multiple languages
  • Knowledge of the EU market for environmental/sustainability services
  • Experience with organising & delivering online and placebased events
  • Analytical skills to help identify opportunities hidden within our customers' data.
  • CRM experience (particularly Salesforce/Pardot)
  • Technology skills would be a bonus, e.g. simple code to connect data systems.

You are:

  • An energetic person, who is selfmotivated, with a strong work ethic
  • Passionate about building great relationships, with colleagues, customers, and partners
  • A great and succinct communicator
  • Wellorganised, and able to put in place a systematic approach to your work
  • Able to prioritize your time based on what is going to have the biggest impact
  • A team player
  • Passionate about making a positive difference to the climate crisis
  • Quick and eager to learn about the world our customers inhabit, their priorities and challenges.
  • Motivated, not intimidated, by the challenges of working in a climate tech startup.

What you get:

  • The opportunity to work with global manufacturing brands and their suppliers, helping them to significantly reduce their carbon emissions and wider environmental impacts.
  • A culture of empowerment, with high lev
