We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Finance Assistant for a well-established forward-thinking client in the Swindon area. The position involves ensuring that the accounting allocations are appropriately maintained and documented.
Performing Cash Management functions for a small group of companies; daily reportingand processing of the bank statements ensuring maintaining a good cash flow within the group of companies and reporting daily to the Finance Director.
This is a Permanent Full-time position.Main Duties:
- Purchasing invoice and cashbook invoice processing.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Checking of accurate data processing of purchase and sales.
- Purchase ledger payment processing (twice monthly payments) and online bank submissions.
- Managing payments and reporting within our banking software.
- Nominal ledger month end routines including audit trail reporting, prepayment, accruals and management accounts, posting of Journals
- VAT processing and VAT Return submissions to HMRC.
- Dealing with foreign currency FX and maintaining accurate reports.
- Statutory requirements ensuring timely payments are carried out online for VAT/PAYE and NI for the Group of companies.
- Purchase and sales ledger invoice processing, allocating Sales Ledger receipts and debt collection to invoice due dates.
- Purchase ledger invoice processing including credit card postings and allocations, and direct debits.
- Processing and reporting accurate calculations of employee timesheets, calculating and managing average earnings.posting the monthly payroll journal for the group of companies.
- Approving monthly payroll figures and importing/submitting the payroll file to the banking software.
- End of tax year reporting (HMRC) and providing accountants with required information for P11D.
- Assisting the Finance Director with other requirements/aspects in the business; maintaining good housekeeping and records.
- End of financial year accounts reporting and end of tax year accounts reporting filing requirements/providing and assistant our accountants with required information.
- Assisting in routine accounts audits and visits from HMRC alongside the Finance Director.
- MS Office (proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook).
