Working pattern -37.5 hours per week, 41 weeks direct term time plus 74.5 undirected hours

Salary -£37, moving to £41,423.33 in April 2023)

Two yearly increments (salary already pro-rated to working weeks)

Location -Bridge College


Under the supervision of our Internal Therapies Lead you will be responsible for development of the SALT service to ensure a high standard of communication assessment and intervention to students at Bridge College and other individuals accessing the service.

Could you manage the Speech and Language Therapy team?

Could you monitor and direct integrated therapy procedures across the College?

We're looking for someone to:

  • To manage a caseload of students with complex communication needs and dysphagia (if dysphagia qualified)
  • To liaise with parents, families and carers, and advise on issues relating to communication skills and dysphagia needs (if dysphagia qualified)
  • To identify training needs within the college and provide training for other members of the staff team to ensure communication strategies can be consistently embedded across college
  • To ensure that professional guidelines and Trust policies and procedures are followed and undertake appropriate risk assessment.
  • To line manage and supervise members of the SALT team and SALT students
