Responsibilities:

  • Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and towels
  • Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines
  • Inspect linens for stains, tears, or damage and report any issues to the supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
  • Ensure that residents laundry is completed and is ironed and stocked back in their rooms

Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a Care Home or similar hospitality setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of different fabrics and their care instructions
  • Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
  • Attention to detail to ensure highquality results
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
