Period of Employment

Fixed-term, full-time (and part-time hours available), working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 13 January 2025 to 12 January Please note opportunity for 24-month appointments may arise from this selection process).

Duties

The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for the day-to-day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital (or rural facility). Provide after-hours emergency cover as determined by the relevant work unit. Rotations to Rural Practice sites across the state are available.

Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) are fully rotational (with the exception of 12month ED). RHH Emergency Medicine RMO positions 12-month (non-rotational)

RHH offer 12-month non-rotational RMO position in ED. The ED RMO positions can be selected under the RHH training stream preferences section in this application form.
