This entails the risk assessment of all situations, the taking of appropriate actions and reporting of all incidents, near misses and hazards, and a statutory duty of care for their own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
Responsibility for Teaching The Department is committed to delivering a high quality, safe service.The ICU enjoys full Accreditation with the Intercollegiate Board for Training in Intensive Care Medicine. There is a new post-graduate and skills centre on the Wigan site. There are regular educational meetings on two sites (Wigan and Wrightington). There will be opportunities to become involved with Simulation Training.
