We are looking for a new Group Head of SEO. This role sits within our Group Digital Centre of Excellence and operates across all our businesses [or banners] across Europe. Centres of Excellence support banner growth and performance through subject matter expertise, innovation and knowledge sharing.
What's the job Provides thought leadership on SEO topics including:Technical SEOContent SEOContent Marketing and Digital PRStrategy, guidance, hands-on support • Become the in-house Kingfisher expert for SEO in all our major markets (UK, France, Poland, Iberia, Romania). Works collaboratively with banner SEO teams to showcase the role of SEO in driving sustainable growth. Keep on top of the all the latest Google algorithm developments and ensure that any changes are impact-assessed. Identify and support the prioritisation of opportunities for improvement with each banner, helping them turn theory into step-by-step actions. Collaborate with our Content teams to ensure SEO best practice is defined, understood, adopted, and measured. Brings external benchmarking, competitive information and best practice to the Kingfisher banners, cascades meaningful innovation. Work cross-functionally with the wider CoE team on more complex projects. Manages group vendor relationships, including RFPs and commercial negotiations. Advises on additions to our agency & partner roster. What you'll bring An experienced SEO expert, with demonstrable success in driving commercial results and getting senior colleagues on-board. Highly commercial, comfortable in a fast paced business. Strong focus on relationship building, and comfortable influencing and delivering through others. Someone comfortable with influencing and delivering through others. Significant experience across all SEO fields, including leading strategic direction & delivery of; SEO strategy, technical, content & digital. Extensive understanding of the SEO tools and technologies landscape. Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with ability to explain sophisticated SEO challenges in a user-friendly way. Local Search optimisation and driving location-based search traffic. Omnichannel experience, preferably in consumer retail businesses. Preference will be given to candidates with experience ofworking in the group function of a large, sophisticated, matrixed business.operating as a SME – with humility. • Fluency in English & French will be an advantage.Be Customer Focussed – constantly improving our customers experience
