Recycling Operative

The Role:

  • Process automotive high voltage lithium ion batteries and battery scrap materials through the safe operation of our battery recycling equipment & machinery
  • Perform battery inspections, discharging, testing, crushing and output of battery materials
  • Liaise with engineers and team members to develop and improve our inhouse processes
  • Workshop management (e.g. PPE is checked and used correctly, machinery is not misused)
  • Assist with the monitoring of waste quantities and outputted products (e.g. black mass)
  • Ensure that all processes are followed correctly to tight deadlines

Mandatory

  • Safetyfirst approach to work is essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and a great work ethic
  • Methodological approach to tasks and ability to work in an orderly, disciplined manner
  • Great communication skills (Clear written and verbal communication is essential).
  • Physically able to carry out manual tasks
  • Able to understand and follow processes and safe systems of work (SSOW)

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a warehouse/yard environment
  • Forklift truck training (FLT Drivers Licence)
  • UK Drivers Licence
