Contract: Permanent Salary: £11.44ph

Working Hours: 37 hours per week: Mon- Thurs: 8.30am-5pm & Fridays 9am-3pm. Overtime is available and compensated at 1.5 times the regular rate for hours exceeding 40.

Become a vital part of our client's expanding team as an Automotive Recycling Technician. This position focuses on the careful and effective handling of machinery to process discarded automotive batteries, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry standards. Collaborate with skilled engineers to enhance your expertise and operational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting tests and evaluations on discarded automotive Lithium-Ion batteries
  • Performing dismantling and discharging tasks
  • Safely operating battery reduction machinery and tools
  • Managing the receipt and storage of battery deliveries
  • Monitoring batteries daily to ensure compliance
  • Promptly reporting any incidents

Candidate Profile:

  • Hands-on approach with a robust work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail and effective prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Commitment to safe working practices
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of electrical systems
  • Experience in a technical work environment
  • Possession of a Forklift Driver License

Training Opportunities:
