We have been supporting people in hardship since 2013 and this has been our busiest year yet, in just months we have helped almost 800 adults and over 500 children, we expect need for our service to continue to grow over the next few years.


We are looking for someone with a passion for social justice and an understanding and empathy with our mission and values to join our team.

Main Roles


Manage our social media o Create engaging written and image-based communications that resonate with target audiences, delivering vital and inspiring content and information.

o Maintain and grow our social media platforms, support the scheduling of social media posts whilst being responsive to our audiences.

o Report on our analytics to help us understand what kind of content works and help us develop engaging and impactful campaign ideas.

Assist with other content. o Provide support on small print and design projects including flyers to promote core services and marketing materials i.e. newsletters and annual project reports o Assist with website content.


Assist in the development a communications strategy that aims to; o Increase awareness of the organisation o Grow relevant social media audience.

o Promote and increase referral to our core services. o Market our events and opportunities. o Communicate our appreciation of those who support us.

Assist with other Marketing and Communications tasks as agreed by line manager.

Team Roles

This role is supported by the Social Media Management Group who will help; o Produce a content calendar e.g. Christmas, Winter Fuel Poverty, School Holiday Hunger etc. o Identify regional or national issues that we wish to engage with e.g. Child Poverty Campaigns o Mitigate the risks of social media e.g. avoiding becoming aligned with partisan politics.


Here's our 'wish list' of things we'd like to see you demonstrate: o Experience in a marketing or communications role, voluntary or paid.

o Experience in managing social media accounts including account analytics and engaging with users. o Skilled in creating written and image-based content. o Comfortable using graphic design packages to develop digital and print marketing materials. o Ability to work autonomously when required and in a team environment.

Remuneration package o Salary NJC 10 £23,620 fte o Pension scheme under the Government's Auto-Enrolment scheme o Holidays 5.6 weeks equivalent of paid holiday per annum, plus public holidays o WFH payment £26 per month o Employers Sick Pay o Workplace wellbeing support with Employee Assistance Programme o Expenses
