Accounts Administrator - Exciting Opportunity with Leading Manufacturing Company

  • Location: Southampton/hybrid working model
  • Salary: £28,250 + benefits

We are on the lookout for a skilled Accounts Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing the Purchase Ledger email inbox, ensuring prompt responses to queries in alignment with internal SLAs.
  • Reviewing and approving purchase invoices for accuracy before their release to the ledger.
  • Preparing weekly supplier payment runs accurately for management approvals.
  • Handling one-off supplier payments as required.
  • Posting payment journals into the accounting system meticulously for complete and precise accounting records.
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and resolving discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Generating bank statement reports for the finance team as needed.
  • Communicating with suppliers and internal teams regarding payment and invoice queries within set SLAs.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to address operational challenges and provide support across the business.
  • Driving system improvements through constructive feedback.
  • Building positive relationships within the team and wider Company.

Desired skills for the Accounts Administrator role:

  • Understanding of accounts payable with 1-2 years experience in finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both independent and team work.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Forward-thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Accurate record-keeping and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Effective planning, organizing, and prioritizing abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Educational background to A Level Standard or equivalent.
  • History of elevating team performance standards.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK when required.
  • Flexibility to support business needs in a safe and efficient manner.
