Interim Estates Surveyor

Temporary, Full time (4/5 days per week)

£400 - £450 per day

We are working alongside a local authority to support with a Interim Estates Surveyor on a temporary basis.

Job Description:

  • The estate management of an allocated commercial and corporate property portfolio.
  • Includes investment commercial property, corporate property, community centres, open spaces, and leisure centres
  • Landlord and Tenant professional and estate management work including leasehold and rent review negotiations, using comparable market evidence for the investment portfolio and land to maximise value.
  • Advise colleagues on the best course of estates action, supporting colleagues with their service objectives.
  • Ensuring details are processed by the asset team so that records are accurate and rent is raised correctly, including business rates.
  • Progress leases, licences, wayleaves, easements, from agreement.
* viewings, support with valuation inspections.

Key Person Specification:

  • Ideally Membership of RICS, ARIC or working towards professional accreditation.
  • Educated to degree level in property discipline.
  • Several years' experience of estates management.
  • Extensive experience of conducting rent reviews, lease renews, including good understanding of the processes to follow.
  • Significance experience in estates management on a commercial portfolio
  • Good ability to utilise the Council's property database, Microsoft offices, finance database for orders etc.
