The Role:

nWe are partnered with a progressive architectural studio renowned for their focus on buildings and spaces that foster meaningful connections within the urban fabric.

They are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Principal Designer to lead the technical design and compliance aspect of several projects.


Working from their stunning, self-designed studio you would be an experienced architect who has previously led projects through all RIBA stages and has strong technical abilities.

Supported by a team of talented architects and management, you would be assisting in the building regulation compliance for project submissions across the studio in order to gain needed approval.

This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about design philosophy, technically skilled and has a genuine interest in how architectural processes come together.

Key Responsibilities:
nLead the BRPD services, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety ActnMaintain building regulations compliance trackers for each project and monitor design developmentnPresent architectural design ideas in meetings and industry events, emphasising compliancenStay updated on building regulations and best practicesnCoordinate input from project team members and consultants on compliance mattersnLiaise with internal project teams to meet BRPD deadlines and protocolsnIdentify areas for improvement and support in the progression of office systems/policiesnAssist in finding new work and marketing opportunities through tenders and marketing materialsnProvide mentoring to junior team membersnParticipate in the recruitment process and represent the practice at industry events

Key Skills:
nAn architectural degree with ARB registration or equivalentnAt least 4 years experience post ARB registrationnA strong portfolio showcasing technical ability and detail of designnA passion for architectural design, philosophy and historynGreat communication skills both verbal and visual
