As an Apprentice Intelligence Officer, you'll be an essential part of our Trading Standards Team, ensuring the delivery of top-notch intelligence information to benefit businesses and residents in Essex.

Throughout your apprenticeship journey with Essex County Council, you'll receive continuous support and guidance right from day one. From exclusive training materials to networking opportunities, rest assured you'll have all the resources needed to succeed.

Ready to take on this role? Here's what we're looking for:

  • Educated to RQF level 3 ('A' Levels) with proficiency in Maths and English
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office
  • Excellent Excel skills including query building and data manipulation
  • Minimum educational requirement of A Level / T Level or equivalent qualification
  • Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Ability to enhance Skills Level 2 in Maths & English during the program
  • Residency in the UK or EEA for at least three years prior to starting the apprenticeship
