Exciting Opportunity: Student Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team Leader in Preston

Temporary position for the current academic term

Full-time position

Offering £30 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated on legislative changes concerning safeguarding, local protocols, and official guidance. Work in conjunction with relevant professional organizations to ensure adherence to national and local regulations.
  • Take swift and effective measures to shield students in vulnerable situations. Keep track of and document student support to enhance retention rates.
  • Collaborate with staff to raise awareness about students' mental health requirements and advocate for the Wellbeing Service across the college.
  • Supervise various student groups (e.g., Looked After Children, Students Living independently, Young carers) and apply suitable interventions based on attendance, accomplishment, retention, and progression data.
  • Efficiently oversee personnel within the service unit, upholding high standards of behavior, adherence, and performance.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate certifications in safeguarding, wellbeing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in utilizing platforms like CPOMS.
  • Demonstrated background in safeguarding techniques, compliance, and student assistance.
  • Robust leadership and communication abilities.
