- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safeguarding concerns and actions taken, ensuring all documentation is up to date and confidential.
- Experience: Proven experience in a safeguarding role, ideally within an education setting.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and procedures, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with care and professionalism.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing leadership in safeguarding issues.
- Equality and Diversity: A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the college community.
- DBS Clearance: Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Safeguarding Qualifications: Level 3 or above qualification in safeguarding or child protection.
- Education Experience: Previous experience in a college or secondary school setting.
- Safeguarding Training Experience: Experience in delivering safeguarding training.
