About you

  • You will ideally have supervisory experience working within the Asphalt Surfacing Industry
  • Have a good working knowledge of asphalt products and also surfacing methods and techniques.
  • You will posses a proactive attitude to work, in particular a high aptitude towards Health and Safety & cost control
  • Have good communication skills to deal with both clients and the surfacing gangs.
  • You will hold SMSTS / SSSTS and CSCS qualifications (desirable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all works are carried out in a Safe manner and in full accordance with the Company's Integrated Management System. Due regard must be taken for the Public, Customers and other Employees.
  • Knowledge of the Forms of Contract and how they need to be managed and implemented
  • Effective day to day management of the Foreman and site team
  • Ensure that all work is carried out and completed to the highest standards of Quality and complying with the Contract Specification.
  • Report any issues with the site or operatives to the Contracts Manager/Director immediately.
  • Carry out any reasonable tasks or instructions that the Company may make from time to time.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed in a timely manner and submitted to the regional office for processing.
  • Must be able to work on your own initiative and be highly selfmotivated, good problemsolving skills are desirable.
  • Must have a flexible approach to work and travel and be prepared to work nights and weekends when required.
  • Good communication skills must be able to liaise with Clients to address their needs and to assist with future work winning. We are a customer focused organization and rely on repeat business.
This role involves shift working which will at times include weekends and nights to accommodate our operational needs.
