We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Job Overview:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls for employees accurately and on time, including calculating wages, overtime, deductions, and benefits.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new starters, leavers, and changes in pay rates.
  • Verify timesheets and attendance records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements.
  • Ensure compliance with UK tax rules, UK pension regulations and company policies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll tax filings and yearend processing, including Forms P11D.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate employee data.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller. Process payroll for employees using [mention specific software such as PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or other relevant systems].

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recognised payroll qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. Select Pay) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Salary and Hours of Work

Salary:

£28,000.00 per annum FTE

Hours of work:


Your normal working hours will be 17.5 hours per week across 3 days, 2 of which are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

These hours may change to fulfil the obligations of your role
