ABOUT THE ROLE


We're looking for a night Recovery Worker to join the team in successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our residents and participants back into the community.

Providing pathways, support and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements and work with internal and external partners and agencies to achieve desired outcomes.


Rota:
Night Shifts on Rota Monday to Sunday, 21:30 - 08:30.

ABOUT THE SERVICE


Equinox Brent supports those recovering from mental health struggles, we provide 24 hour support at three sites as well as a service.

Residential services in Brent provide a recovery focused service to both, men and women with long term mental health difficulties.

The service works with the user to increase their independence and move them on into lower support accommodation.


We work closely with various agencies to support improve life skills, increase social inclusion, and help with individuals improve their quality of life.

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a Recovery Worker for a caseload of Residents and Participants (R&), contributing to the development of support plans, risk assessments, and reviews.
  • Provide advice, guidance, information, and life skills training to R&Ps.
  • Carry out welfare checks, ensuring the night service runs smoothly.
  • Ensure R&Ps understand their rights and responsibilities and have access to the right tools and resources to support them back into the community. For example, supporting with welfare benefit claims and signposting them to the correct provisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external persons and agencies.
  • Support R&Ps to take correct medication.
  • Assist with health and safety and other site related maintenance and management.
  • Admin duties will vary.


Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.


KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, exoffenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
    or a good understanding of the sector
  • IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
  • Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
  • Able to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others

What we would like, but not essential:

  • Appropriate professional qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice or professional equivalent
  • Experience of providing housing support and practical assistance within a residential or outreach support role
  • Experience creating coproduced support plans and providing appropriate interventions for service user and liaising with other profess
