**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As a Recovery Worker, you will contribute to successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our residents and participants back into the community. Providing pathways, support and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements and work with internal and external partners and agencies to achieve desired outcomes.
Rota: Early Shift: 8am to 4pm, Late Shift, 12:30am to 8pm. 7 days a week with rotating rota including two day break.

**ABOUT THE SERVICE**
Equinox Brent supports those recovering from mental health struggles, we provide 24 hour support at three sites as well as a 10 - 6 service. Residential services in Brent provide a recovery focused service to both, men and women with long term mental health difficulties. The service works with the user to increase their independence and move them on into lower support accommodation.
We work closely with various agencies to support improve life skills, increase social inclusion, and help with individuals improve their quality of life.

**OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Act as the primary recovery worker for a caseload of residents and participants (R&P), contributing to the development of support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
- Support in managing health and safety, maintenance, rent/charge collections, arrears and void control for the service.
- Tenancy Management, which can include signing up new residents/participants to tenancies with the correct procedure, assisting with taking occupancy, inductions, and general living support.
- Ensure our R&P’s understand their rights and responsibilities, to support them back into society and building networks. This can include assisting with making welfare benefit claims.
- Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external persons and agencies.
- Various administration duties, ensuring confidentiality.
- Maintain high standards of service provision in line with organisational values and requirements, ensuring a safe, effective, caring, and responsive service.
- Provide advice, information and guidance to residents and participants.
Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.
**KEY CRITERIA**
What we are looking for:
- Appropriate professional qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice or professional equivalent
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
- Experience in supporting in a similar sector or reintegration of clients into the community
What we would like, but not essential:
- Experience managing a hub or community advice/guidanc
