Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with autism, tailored to their individual needs.
  • Work closely with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and support students with autism in their learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting strategies as necessary.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and activites that promote an inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the development of social and communication skills through activities.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture by promoting understanding and acceptance of autism within the school community.

Ideal Candidate:


To be sucessful in this role, you will need: * Enhanced DBS Check (or be willing to undertake one) * Relevant personal or work experience supporting people with autism.

* Strong understanding of autism and strategies to support students with autism in an educational setting. * Patience,empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students. * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedication.

Additional Information:

  • Salary: Based on M1-M6 teaching scale, measured by experience and qualifications.
  • Full Time, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 3.
