Autism Specialist | SEN Teaching Assistant | B29 | February 2023


We are working closely with a school based in Selly Oak looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to support with SEN students in their mainstream primary school.

The school has been rated 'good' by Ofsted.

The aim of the school is to have a positive impact onall children's lives and giving students the best education to gain powerful knowledge and skills to aid their future.

This one to one role will be supporting 2 students with ASD and learning delay in EYFS. This will be in class support.

This is a full-time, long-term position commencing immediately until at least July 2023 (with the option for it to go permanent)

This full-time, rewarding position would best suit someone motivated to fulfil a career in education. The working hours would be Monday - Friday between 8:30am - 3:45pm. The pay for this role would be between £325 - £350 take home per week.

About the role:

  • Support a child in a EYFS class on a 1:1 basis
  • Create strategies to maximise the pupil's academic potential
  • Engage with the pupil and create an exciting learning environment
  • Follow pupils' targets in line with their EHCP
  • Monitor pupils' progress

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Confident supporting children with Autism and / or Speech & Language difficulties is ideal
  • Must be available from July 2023, fulltime and longterm
