JOB SUMMARY:

Under general direction, the Installation Supervisor is responsible to provide on and off-site technical support and supervision for customers (and their contractors), to assist in the erecting and installation of industrial mechanical equipment.
In addition, the Installation Supervisor supports and assists QAQC and Field Service with inspection of fabricated equipment._ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES_
- Assist contractors in the erection and installation of new process equipment, provide technical assistance and training to customers for mechanical operation of process equipment. Prepare written field inspection reports.
- Perform fabricated equipment inspections in support of the global Crown quality control program coordinate globally with QA/QC Managers, Project Management, and Field Service to schedule fabrication inspection; address issues & concerns; prepare written fabricator inspection reports.
- Assist with precommissioning and commissioning teams
- Work with QA/QC Managers to assist with assuring fabricators meet quality, drawing, and code requirements to generate product consistency among suppliers ensuring standardized results globally.
- Coordinate with purchasing department to evaluate locally fabricated equipment and parts. Address issues and concerns; prepare written supplier inspection reports.
- Liaison between fabricators, Crown design and project engineering functions, to assist in interpreting design and fabrication information and to ensure that crown fabrication drawing information is accurate and fabrication techniques are consistent.
- Monitor fabrication schedule and facilitate progress updates between fabricators and Crown project management.
- Act as mentor and trainer for Crown personnel in equipment installation and field support roles.
- Observe Crown, fabricators' and customers' safety programs when on site.
- Offer technical and operational support for sales and commercial efforts.
- Perform/coordinate other duties as required and assigned by Global Technical Manager
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS_**- 5 plus year's relevant mechanical experience in equipment installation, erecting or fabrication and/or mechanical checkout and start-up.
- Experience in the following skills preferred:
- Millwright work
- Welding, inspection
- Rigging
- Field repair.
- Ability to interpret equipment drawings and schematics is an essential skill.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with crossfunctional team, creating values for end customers, and driving operational excellence within areas of responsibility.
- Self manages; takes initiative and able to lead and collaborate across geographies and functions in a matrixed environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
- High integrity and ethics.
- Must be able to communicate in English fluently. Ability to communicate in a second language
- European or Asian languages preferred but not required.
_WORKING CONDITIONS_
- Approximately 50% of time spent in the office environment; approximately 50%+ spent overseas in the plant environment.
- Office environment conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Plant and fabrication environment conditions include some exposure to chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, potential work at heights, confined spaces and in inclement weather conditions.
