The Senior Electrical Supervisor is tasked with managing and coordinating electrical installation, maintenance, and repair operations within a designated team or department.

This position entails overseeing electricians, technicians, and contractors, ensuring adherence to regulations and safety standards, and facilitating effective project execution.

The Senior Electrical Supervisor plays a pivotal role in resource management, troubleshooting technical challenges, and fostering a culture of excellence and safety in electrical operations.


Lead a team of multi-skilled engineers, technicians, and contractors, providing guidance, direction, and support as necessary during project execution.


Project Coordination:

  • Strategically plan and coordinate electrical projects, including new installations, upgrades, and renovations, in partnership with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Supervise project execution, resource allocation, and budget management to achieve project goals and timelines.
Offer technical expertise and guidance to address complex electrical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

  • Evaluate technical drawings, specifications, and plans to ensure precision and adherence to project requirements.
  • Assist the M&E Supervisor in the daily implementation of EMCOR UK policies, procedures, and standards necessary to uphold the integrity of ongoing operational activities and deliver high-quality service to clients in accordance with the EMCOR UK Integrated Management System, Employee Handbook, M&I Business Plan, and Company Safety Procedures/Instructions.
  • Support the M&E Supervisor in maintaining accurate records, including completed test sheets, routine inspection sheets, and work dockets detailing the duration of maintenance activities and observations.


Enforce safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to cultivate a culture of safety and minimise risks to personnel and property.


  • Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and training sessions to enhance awareness and compliance.
Quality Assurance

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity, functionality, and reliability of electrical systems and installations.
  • Perform inspections, audits, and quality checks to verify compliance with standards and specifications.
Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, work orders, equipment inventory, and personnel assignments.

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Initial & Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391)
Extensive experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and supervision.

  • Proven proficiency in project management, team leadership, and technical expertise.
  • Previous Authorised Persons appointment is desirable, although training will be provided.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, software, and techniques for planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
