THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and innovation-focused Sponsorships Director to develop our sponsorship proposition, rapidly build out our client base and execute strategic sponsorship initiatives for our clients. This role would suit an entrepreneurial and creative thinker with excellent people skills who is looking for an opportunity to create ground-breaking work.

CORE SKILLS

Sponsorship strategy. Ability to develop a differentiating sponsorship proposition, identifying opportunities to align emerging trends in client needs, markets, audiences and content platforms to create a distinctive offer a crowded space and use it to generate competitive advantage for our clients.

Creative innovation. Ability to embrace creativity, technology, and data-driven insights to help clients maximise the impact of their sponsorships and forge meaningful connections with audiences in an increasingly fragmented media landscape; ability to identify opportunities to leverage innovation to create industry 'firsts' and set new standards.

Client management. Ability to initiate, develop and maintain strong, positive client relationships with both internal and external clients, collaborating closely with clients and colleagues to understand business objectives/needs and align them with the right opportunities.

Partnership development. Have an excellent black book of contacts and the ability to cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with media owners, identifying good opportunities at the earliest moment and negotiating favourable sponsorships for our clients.

Proposal development. Ability to create compelling proposals, presentations and associated materials to effectively communicate a value proposition and benefits to potential partners and clients; and to pitch/convert those sponsorship proposals.

Activation and execution. Ability to manage delivery of sponsorships through the project lifecycle, overseeing the activation and execution of sponsorship agreements; ensuring seamless implementation of sponsorship initiatives, deliverables, and activations; and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to execute sponsorship campaigns.

Measurement and analysis. Ability to monitor and analyse sponsorship performance, providing regular reporting and insights to clients on campaign outcomes, audience engagement and impact.

Budget management. Ability to manage costs, expenses, and financial negotiations to ensure optimal allocation of resources in adherence to client budgets and financial objectives.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience in sponsorships or related field, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex campaigns.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing strategic sponsorship initiatives that drive business objectives, engagement and revenue growth.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Exceptional ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, sponsors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Required MacOS proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work successfully within a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Strong presentation skills
