SUMMARY - MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To manage the entire tender bid process for all BDX tenders.

This specialist role will be responsible for complying with the tender management processes and coordinate activities within the tender submission process.

The tender specialist will be required to cultivate strong relationships with various stakeholders for successful submission of the bid.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Develop process efficiency gains in qualifying tenders and manage data in line with renewals
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills by effectively communicating tender due date, project start and end date, tender submission instructions/requirement and mode of submission
  • Own and drive the tender bid process, summarise tender scope, criteria to win
  • Coordinate activities required of all Business Units and functions.
  • Source, track and communicate new business opportunities
  • Prepare, manage, and submit tender responses, working to strict deadlines and coordinating multiple stake holder responses
  • To create and analyse various reporting data, including excel, internal/external reporting tools and portals
  • To set timely deadlines, assigns tasks, and follows up on all actions
  • Compile all documents required from external service providers, communicate BDs instructions, and distribute in timely manner
  • Communicate and manage all stakeholders to ensure timelines are strictly controlled
  • Manage 'Clarification' process, track all responses, and share internally
  • Consolidate all responses to tender questions and compile highquality response documents that meet winning criteria
  • Share all responses with wider team and gain approval
  • Manage BDs knowledge database populate with 'frequent' questions and past winning responses
  • Collate supporting information and references from appropriate sources needed for submission
  • Ensure that tenders submitted on time and are standardized in terms of format, font, logo, etc. and in line with tender instructions
  • Conduct After Action Reviews and coordinate any follow up actions
  • Take ownership of management reporting around tender pipeline
  • Effectively manage successful completion including third party bids as part of overall submission

KSA REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Education

  • At least 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • High level of business acumen
