Job Title:
Activities Coordinator

Responsible to:
Home Manager, Deputy Manager and Senior Care Assistants.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • Focus on the wellbeing of our residents by providing a rich, personcentred and diverse activity programme that benefits all of our residents.
  • Develop and lead an activity program that takes account of the needs, interests and preferences of all residents living in the home.
  • To provide a variety of activities and formats for residents to enjoy including one to one sessions, groups, outings and whole home activities.
  • Ensure that the activity program is documented along with daily records of activities provided, resident participation, resident feedback.
  • Support other care staff to participate in activity provision and help them to develop their confidence to maintain and continue activities when you are not present.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Genuine interest in activity provision with the elderly within a care home setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, work colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Satisfactory DBS Check and two references
  • Experience of developing and leading activities within a care home to people with a range of physical and mental health needs

Job Types:
