You will be part of shaping our net zero future, working with our Hydrogen strategy, build and operations teams to deliver exceptional commercial outcomes.

Working as part of the Procurement leadership team you will also be engaged in setting the functional strategy and leading change projects to ensure we continually improve our processes and systems and grow the capability of the team to move us forward tobecoming the best Procurement team in our sector.


Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for ensuring that our procurement category strategy and management delivers the requirements of our Hydrogen strategy and Hydrogen operations teams broader business objectives, driving value through the supply chain.
  • To build excellent relationships with key internal colleagues and external stakeholders, providing confidence in your ability to deliver the objectives set and becoming a key contact for our Hydrogen teams and external markets
  • Provide excellent market and supplier insight, staying up to date with the latest market and technology trends and using that knowledge to shape and execute strategy.
  • Take responsibility for delivering procurement and sourcing events efficiently and effectively, whilst ensuring compliance with relevant procurement regulations and legal obligations.
  • Drive business innovation through strong supplier engagement and supplier relationship management.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

  • Degree standard or equivalent experience
  • Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience
  • Full UK driving licence.

Practical Experience

  • Previous experience of category management and strategic sourcing
  • Experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities across the value stream
  • Track record of delivering sustainable commercial savings
  • Driving procurement and logistics change initiatives using lean principles
  • Experience in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders in order to drive commercial savings
  • Experience of sourcing and managing different forms of contracts/framework agreements
  • Experience of developing and implementing Category Strategies
  • Experience of drafting and negotiating complex contracts
  • Experience in evaluating supplier capabilities
  • Experience in leading and developing small teams
  • Experience in presenting to multiple stakeholders
  • Experience of managing multiple demands/projects and delivering to deadlines
  • Knowledge of the Strategic Sourcing Process and Supplier Contracts Control FrameworkStrong understanding of EU and Utility Procurement Directives
