Norfolk (Hybrid role: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)nAbout the Role:nWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join our Switch Gear department for a dynamic Offshore Wind Farm project.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a pioneering renewable energy project and support the team with your technical administrative skills.

The role offers a 12-month contract with the likelihood of extension based on project needs and performance.

The position requires a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in our Norfolk office and the remaining two days working remotely from home.


Key Responsibilities:

Document Management:

nMaintain and organize technical documentation, drawings, and project files.nEnsure all documents are up-to-date and accessible to team members.nHandle document control processes and maintain version control.


Data Entry and Reporting:

nInput and manage data related to switch gear and project specifications.nGenerate reports and summaries for project managers and stakeholders.nMonitor and track project milestones and deliverables.


Coordination and Communication:

nServe as a liaison between technical teams and project management.nCoordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute minutes.nFacilitate effective communication within the team and with external partners.


Technical Support:

nAssist with troubleshooting technical issues related to switch gear equipment.nProvide administrative support during testing and commissioning phases.nEnsure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.


Procurement and Inventory:

nSupport procurement activities by managing purchase orders and inventory records.nCoordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.nTrack and manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock for project needs.


Compliance and Quality Assurance:

nAssist in maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.nSupport quality assurance processes by ensuring adherence to technical standards.nParticipate in audits and inspections as required.


General Administrative Duties:

nPerform general administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the project.nManage calendars, schedules, and travel arrangements for team members.nHandle correspondence, both electronic and paper-based.


Qualifications:

nPrevious experience in a technical administrative role, preferably within the energy or engineering sectors.nStrong organizational and time-management skills.nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.nFamiliarity with switch gear or similar technical equipment is a plus.nHigh attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
