Night Operations Manager

Do you have experience leading and managing a large chilled food warehouse team? Are you searching for a new opportunity where you can be part of a great team delivering a fast-paced operation and providing the best products and service for our customers?

We have an opportunity for a Night Operations Manager to join our business.

You will work 5 shifts per week, rostered between the hours of 4pm and 6am.

You will be working on a full time, permanent basis and in return will receive a competitive salary of £50,000 per annum.

To be successful in this role you will need to be hands-on with the ability to lead our diverse workforce and drive the operation.

What will you be doing:

  • Managing a team of 30+ across a busy night shift
  • Ensuring customer orders are picked accurately & despatched within specified deadlines
  • Ensuring each shift is resourced accordingly
  • Training and coaching of the Night warehouse team
  • Managing productivity and efficiency
  • Responsibility for the full employee life cycle – recruitment, appraisals, sickness, grievance & disciplinary procedures
  • Ensuring health & safety standards and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Monitoring and minimising waste and stock record errors
  • Liaising with the Procurement team to maximise customer availability

What skills and experience you will need:

  • You have experience working in a fresh food warehouse environment or FMCG
  • You will be driven with a cando attitude
  • You will have strong communication skills
  • You will be decisive and a strong leader
  • You will be respectful, honest and have the upmost integrity
  • You will be I.T literate, intermediate MS Office (Word/Excel)
  • You will have demonstratable experience in leading and managing a team

Watts Farms is a third-generation family-run farming business, established in 1952. Growers, Packers and Distributors of fresh produce supplying the hospitability industry across Kent, London and surrounding areas. We despatch on average 600 orders a night from a range of 2000 SKU's.
