Fowler Welch, a leading provider of time-critical logistics solutions, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our Aylesford site. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse staff to ensure good productivity, picking accuracy, and overall performance of the warehouse meets customer and company service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise warehouse staff to maintain high standards of discipline and performance.
  • Ensure daily KPIs are achieved to meet targets and dispatch requirements.
  • Train and retrain warehouse operatives in picking and other warehouse disciplines as needed.
  • Enforce company standards of hygiene and housekeeping, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety Rules and report any issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse procedures and systems to minimize errors and maximize staff productivity.
  • Manage day-to-day team issues, including holidays, timekeeping, and absence monitoring.
  • Address performance issues with team members in collaboration with Warehouse Managers and HR.

Requirements:

  • Operational experience in a FMCG warehouse environment.
  • FLT Licence.
  • Good standard of education, including Maths at GCSE level or equivalent relevant qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail.
