The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated pharmacist to join the cancer pharmacy team at NHS Lanarkshire. The position involves contributing to the development and delivery of the clinical pharmacy service in cancer care.

NHS Lanarkshire, part of the West of Scotland Cancer Network, offers specialist cancer services at three acute sites. The successful candidate will work at University Hospital Hairmyres, collaborating with a supportive pharmacy team and multidisciplinary professionals dedicated to enhancing cancer patient services.

Applicants should have hospital pharmacy experience and show evidence of post-registration professional development. While cancer experience is beneficial, training will be provided. The role may require working across different hospital sites.

What We'll Need You to Bring

  • Masters of Pharmacy Degree
  • General Pharmaceutical Council registration
  • Postgraduate training in clinical pharmacy practice
  • Experience in providing clinical pharmacy services
  • Supervisory and communication skills
  • Self-motivation and teamwork abilities
  • Research and audit skills
  • Availability for weekend and holiday work
  • Willingness to contribute to the pharmacy department

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

Extensive post-registration experience and strong prioritization skills.

Contract Type

Permanent, full-time position (37 hours per week)

Location and Working Pattern

Based at University Hospital Hairmyres, with work across the three Acute sites. Working hours are Mon-Fri; 9:00-5:00.
