Clinical Fellow:
Medicine for Older Adults - Fixed Term for 12 Months from August 2024

(Up to 30 Hours per Week)

Intermediate Care based initially at Carrickstone Care Home, with input to Hospital at Home / Community Services.


University Hospital Monklands (UHM) is looking to appoint a Clinical Fellow for a period of one year from August 2024.

You will join a team of Consultants, Specialty Doctors and multi-disciplinary professionals; a team who have a significant track record in delivering service change and in quality improvement for patients living with Frailty in North Lanarkshire.


The department provides services across four inpatient wards at UHM and intermediate care facilities at three sites across Lanarkshire, including outpatients, stroke, frailty assessment, movement disorder, falls and orthogeriatrics, and hospital at home.

The team work in tandem with General Medicine colleagues to provide daily input to medical receiving for frail older adults within our dedicated 24 bed Frailty Receiving Unit.
