About the Trust

What you'll be responsible for:
- To provide a welcoming environment for service users and visitors.
- To efficiently operate the EMIS appointment system for the clinical staff and undertake the daytoday administration of the reception area.
- Ensuring that the clinical team are aware of any individual patients in urgent need of medical care.
- Maintaining an efficient system for the provision of repeat prescriptions, liaising between patients and clinical staff to ensure the timely provision of repeat medication following agreed protocols.
- Always maintain accurate medical records and act in a manner that protects patient confidentiality including the correct storage and handling of patient records.
- To ensure that new records and patient related information is filed in the patient's record promptly and in an appropriate manner.
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
You'll have the following skills/experience:
- System knowledge
- EMIS or other patient system (desirable)
- Previous experience in a GP or Health Care environment
- Emotional Resilience
- Attention to detail / good patient facing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
